Cancellation and Refund Policy


We are thankful to you for being a part of our community, we understand that change happens, and we ask for your understanding that upon your registration Copper Beech Institute makes financial commitments that we must uphold. Therefore, all funds will be refunded in full for cancellation 11 or more days prior to the program date, less a $50 non-refundable processing fee. For cancellations within 10 days or less, a non-refundable 50% credit toward another program will be held for one year from the date of issue. No credit or refund is available for cancellation on the day of the program, if you do not arrive, or if you leave a program early. Copper Beech Institute reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. In this event, you will be given a complete refund.

A $100 deposit is due prior to the mandatory orientation. At the conclusion of the orientation, if you and your instructor discern that the course is a good fit for you, the balance of your registration is due.  If you are unable to participate in the course your payment will be refunded according to the following schedule:

After Mandatory Orientation: 100%
After class 1: 75%
After class 2: 50%
After class 3: No refund


The gift shop bookstore has a 30-day return policy. You can return any item, to the bookstore in its original packaging within 30 days for a refund, if accompanied by your receipt. If no receipt, a credit will be issued for the return amount, less shipping and handling charges (if applicable).

Inclement Weather Policy

On rare occasions, for the safety of our participants, a retreat, program or class may be cancelled due to inclement weather. The decision will be made no later than 6 AM for morning programs and no later than Noon for evening classes and weekend retreats. In such an event, participants will be notified by e-mail. You can also call 860.760.9750 for information on cancellation. There will be a recorded announcement on the voice mail or someone will be in the office to take your call.

If there is a cancellation within any Copper Beech Courses, additional classes may be scheduled for the two weeks following the expected end of the program. Please hold these dates in your calendar.

For children who visit our site, special rules apply. We do not request personal information about children, such as first and last name or street address and city.
