For many, mindfulness practice is a solitary endeavor, yet we can all benefit from the support of others as we strive to live with greater mindfulness and compassion. Here at Copper Beech Institute, we offer space to an engaged and vital community of people who practice meditation together on an ongoing basis.

All are welcome; advance registration is not required. If you’re a beginner, we invite you to first attend one of our Introduction to Meditation Workshops.

Our meditation groups are donation based, weekly community practices open to all. Your generosity makes this possible. You may make a free-will offering each time you attend or donate online with a one-time or recurring gift.

Candlelight Meditation

Candlelight Meditation offers a weekly community of meditation practice, discussion, and sharing followed by tea.  From time to time, we hold Candlelight Conversations as part of the evening to explore the connection between contemplative practice and vital social issues. Learn more >

Breath by Breath Meditation

This twice-monthly daytime meditation group is a collaborative program between Copper Beech Institute and the Spiritual Life Center. The group meets on the first and third Mondays of every month.

Meeting Location: Third Floor Community Chapel

Meeting Time: Noon–1 p.m.

Live Stream Meditation

Live Stream Meditation is a weekly opportunity to practice with others through Zoom, a simple and convenient service that allows us to connect virtually-- by phone, computer, or mobile device. Now you can experience the peace, compassion, and practical wisdom that Copper Beech Institute has to offer by joining our community from anywhere around the world!

Each week on Monday from 12:30 pm-1:00 pm EST, one of our core faculty will lead a 10-minute meditation and share a brief teaching. Join us each week and experience the support of our teachers and welcoming community. We’ll even send you the recording afterward, so you can revisit the meditation any time you’d like. We trust that you will emerge feeling calm, energized, and ready to meet the challenges of your daily life.

If you are new to meditation, we invite you to take one of our Introduction to Meditation Workshops to learn about the benefits of meditation and how we practice at Copper Beech. Upon completion of this two-hour program, you will be prepared to join our Candlelight and Breath by Breath meditation groups.
